Weber Shandwick Boston seeks a Senior Art Director, Health to join the growing creative team and spearhead work across high-profile healthcare accounts. The role involves leading alongside creative directors, copywriters, and designers as a conceptual thinker and talented designer. Expect to deliver exciting, cutting-edge, brand-focused visuals whether driving multi-channel campaigns or overseeing social creative.

Work directly with clients to bring creative ideas to life, collaborating with talented copywriters and designers. Join client meetings, brainstorms, and planning sessions for ongoing projects. Build strong rapport with creative colleagues, client leads, and project managers while cultivating an inclusive culture of trust and accountability.

Push the craft across healthcare accounts with 5+ years in digital/social space. Develop long-term creative plans and recommendations for client objectives. Stay curious with ongoing drive to learn emerging techniques, trends in design, technology, interaction, and social media.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of art direction and/or design experience in a related agency department or industry (advertising, digital, social media, publishing/content or public relations)
  • Prior healthcare/public health experience
  • Portfolio required
  • Work onsite in Boston office two days per week
  • Curious, self-motivated, hard-working, well-organized, thick skinned and resilient to ever-changing timelines, requests, and deliverables
  • Ongoing drive to learn and incorporate new and emerging techniques, trends and philosophies in design, technology, interaction and social media
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, XD) and presentation software (PowerPoint)
  • Understanding of print production, typography systems and layout fundamentals

Responsibilities

  • Lead design across wide range of assignments including identity work, campaign creative, social content, video, mockups, infographics, presentations, experiential and print collateral/OOH
  • Design for social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, LinkedIn, YouTube) with advanced understanding of best practices for creative, design, and layout
  • Ensure all visual design adheres to existing brand guidelines
  • Create design solutions that meet or exceed strategic objectives
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across teams
  • Develop long-term creative plans and recommendations for client objectives
  • Join client meetings, brainstorms and planning sessions for ongoing projects
  • Build and maintain strong rapport with creative team colleagues, client leads and project managers
