UnitedMasters builds a marketplace connecting artists, brands, and fans, empowering independent artists to earn and grow. The platform disrupts legacy music business by enabling direct distribution to streaming services while artists retain master rights and up to 100% royalties. Join as Creative Director to own the creative vision in Brooklyn with a hybrid schedule.

Lead end-to-end creative for marketing across web, digital, email, social, and events. Develop market-leading social content series to showcase artists and boost engagement. Partner across marketing teams to deliver emotionally compelling, performance-driven creative.

The team includes musicians, marketers, engineers, and storytellers from YouTube, SoundCloud, Pandora, Facebook, Uber, and more. Work hand-in-hand with award-winning creative teams at Translation, the in-house advertising agency. Drive cross-functional alignment with Product Design, Artist Marketing, and Brand & Partnerships.

Champion a data-first approach using insights to inform strategy and optimize output. Build and scale a high-performing design organization with strong processes. Hire, lead, and develop a world-class creative team for immediate and long-term growth.

Requirements

  • 6+ years experience leading marketing creative, in-house and/or at an agency
  • Proven experience defining or evolving brand identity including branding, style guide, creative toolkit, brand voice
  • Manages multiple concurrent projects with precision and adapts quickly as priorities shift
  • Thrives in lean environments, delivering scrappy wins while building scalable solutions
  • Communicates with clarity and influence across all levels, including senior leadership
  • Deep fluency in digital trends and formats, optimizing creative by channel with test-and-learn approach
  • Leads, develops, and retains high-performing creative teams
  • Portfolio of impactful, multi-channel campaigns required

Responsibilities

  • Own and elevate the UnitedMasters creative vision, ensuring brand, design, and messaging resonate with independent artists
  • Evolve and enforce the brand system in partnership with Translation for consistent expression across touchpoints
  • Lead end-to-end creative for Marketing across campaigns and channels including web, digital, email, social, and events
  • Develop and direct market-leading social content series to showcase artists and grow audience engagement
  • Partner across Marketing teams to deliver emotionally compelling and performance-driven creative
  • Champion a data-first creative approach using insights to inform strategy and optimize output
  • Build and scale a high-performing design org with strong processes, tools, and operations
  • Hire, lead, and develop a world-class creative team aligning resourcing to priorities and growth
