Ogilvy One is the Digital arm of Ogilvy South Africa. We focus on creating impactful relationships by design between clients and their customers. We help companies drive sustainable growth through innovation, design, data, and technology while harnessing brand and human behaviour insights.

We seek an experienced Group Account Director with a strong digital background to nurture national and international brands. Under the Managing Partner and Business Director, lead client projects ensuring a constructive and creative operating environment. Responsible for smooth account running operationally, creatively, financially, and strategically.

Maximize account billings, seek additional income opportunities, and contribute to business profitability. Build strong client relationships with deep business understanding and market trends knowledge. Coordinate resources for strategy execution, website design, development, SEO, and data analytics.

Manage financial admin including revenue forecasting, invoicing, scopes, SLAs, and stakeholder approvals. Coach junior account managers and executives positively and proactively. Delegate effectively upwards and downwards while building team respect and performance.

Comfortable growing senior client relationships in an agile, fast-paced environment. Strategically inclined for digital decisions, self-reliant, and accountable for account portfolios. Skilful project management with understanding of SEO, design, and analytics advantageous.

Requirements

  • Min 8 years experience in an account servicing role within a digital environment
  • Minimum of 3 years managing and leading a team
  • Comfortable in growing senior client relationships and business
  • Self-motivated with a high energy level and an enthusiastic team-player
  • Flexible and open to work in an agile and fast paced environment
  • Strategically inclined to make key decisions within the digital context
  • Self-reliant and accountable, taking strategic control of all accounts
  • Understanding of SEO, website design & development, data and analytics advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Lead client projects ensuring a constructive and creative operating environment
  • Ensure smooth and efficient running of accounts operationally, creatively, financially, and strategically
  • Maximize account billings and seek additional income opportunities
  • Build strong client relationships with deep understanding of their business and market trends
  • Coordinate resources needed to service projects and balance client expectations with execution
  • Manage financial admin including revenue forecasting, recognition, recons, invoicing, scopes, and SLAs
  • Coach and manage junior account management team members sensitively and proactively
  • Delegate effectively to agency management, reports, and other departments
