About this role

The Associate Media Director is a high-level client team specialist and strong leader with proven experience managing teams. Responsibilities include juggling multiple high-level projects, researching, justifying partner selection, and developing multi-faceted media partnerships. Think strategically and collaborate across agency disciplines to deliver client goals.

Provide oversight and leadership of client relationships while aligning with goals to exceed them as a strategic partner. Strengthen and broaden relationships for deeper organizational footprint. Partner with finance and project management to ensure delivery and drive profitability.

Manage a team executing the full national buying process, including branded content development, audience tracking, strategic negotiations, tactical scheduling, and post-buy analysis. Drive integrated business processes ensuring all disciplines support the business. Play an active role in conflict resolution before issues escalate.

Assemble thought leadership POVs, proposals, and reporting as a strong strategic contributor. Support MAGNA agency-wide media partnerships cost-effectively for clients. Foster team development, growth, and training of direct reports alongside investment leaders.

Requirements

  • Ability to manage an entire team or teams on all assigned business
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with solid presentation skills
  • Management and supervisory experience required
  • Well-versed in all aspects of media, particularly National TV, Video, Streaming, and Advanced TV
  • Passionate about innovation, creative process, and advertising
  • Team player willing to help others and let junior members shine
  • 5+ years of agency experience with extensive client management and 2+ direct reports
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration/marketing preferred
