About this role

FINN’s Honolulu office is looking for a creative Assistant Account Executive to join our team. Solutions-oriented go-getters with excellent written and oral communication skills who juggle multiple projects are ideal. This role offers growth as a Public Relations professional.

Assist the team with national media visits, collaborate with industry partners, and coordinate media blitzes. Prepare communication materials like meeting reports, press releases, press kits, and media pitches. Support publicity efforts for special events or occasions.

Coordinate travel itineraries and schedules while reviewing print, television, and online media daily. Clip client and competitor news, generating and distributing reports. Perform administrative duties, respond to requests, and prepare conference rooms.

Work a hybrid schedule with at least one day a week in office, residing in Honolulu or willing to relocate without assistance. Gain hands-on experience in a dynamic agency environment focused on communications advocacy. Finn Partners is a global agency stewarding brands and influencing policy.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, public relations, journalism, communications or a related field (High School diploma and three years’ experience in a marketing environment may substitute)
  • Have 1 year of experience in marketing, public relations, media or related field (experience may include internships)
  • Have a strong desire to learn and grow in the public relations/marketing/communications field
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills
  • Have the ability to perform under pressure, prioritizing workload and multi-tasking
  • Value accuracy, have a strong attention-to-detail and are deadline orientated
  • Have availability to work evenings and/or weekends if needed, and the ability to travel off-island

Responsibilities

  • Assist the team with national media visits, collaborate with industry partners, and help coordinate media blitzes
  • Prepare communication materials including meeting reports, press releases, press kits and media pitches
  • Support publicity efforts surrounding special events or occasions
  • Coordinate travel itineraries and schedules
  • Review print, television and online media daily, clipping client and competitor related news and generating/distributing client reports
  • Perform general administrative duties to support the account team
  • Respond to client, vendor, and media requests
  • Prepare conference rooms for meetings
