The Associate Media Buyer assists Media Buyers on the local broadcast team.

This role offers hands-on entry into TV and Radio buying, negotiating and planning. You'll provide admin support, handle station availabilities and perform basic buying functions. Expect to order, monitor buys and resolve billing discrepancies under buyer guidance.

Receive training in buying systems, tools and reports to build proficiency. Work closely with buyers to learn negotiation skills for a media buying career. Gain critical skills through stewardship, makegoods and market-specific tasks.

Requirements

  • College graduate preferred
  • Sociable with frequent communication with outside vendors
  • Strong written and verbal skills by phone and email
  • Detail oriented with strong attention to follow through
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Familiar with data entry
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel)
  • Capable of working independently and as a flexible team player

Responsibilities

  • Provide admin support to buying teams under assigned clients and markets
  • Develop working knowledge of client’s goals, guidelines, and strategies
  • Call, obtain and upload station availabilities for assigned markets
  • Perform basic buying functions as instructed by buyers
  • Order and monitor all confirmed approved media buys
  • Review and maintain approved makegoods and input into buy system
  • Review billing discrepancies with buyers and resolve in a timely manner
  • Work with buyers to learn buying and negotiation skills
