About this role

At Right Formula, we enable brands to push the limits of sports marketing through a unique blend of expertise, ingenuity and agility in Formula One and the wider sports ecosystem. As Group Account Director, you oversee a portfolio of client partnerships across Formula One and sports marketing. You lead strategic account oversight, ensure operational excellence, and serve as a senior escalation point.

You shape and drive the strategic direction of global partnership programmes, translating sponsorship assets into impactful integrated marketing platforms. Lead integrated teams spanning Strategy, Creative, PR & Comms, Digital & Content, and Live Experience & Events. Deliver measurable impact across complex client programmes with international travel to 5-6 key events.

Based at offices in Battersea, London, or remote within the US, you partner with leading global brands to unlock growth through sport. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and the executive leadership team. Represent Right Formula with credibility internally and externally.

Drive commercial growth by identifying opportunities to expand partnerships and unlock revenue streams. Champion innovation by evolving agency-wide activation strategies. Lead annual budget planning, client satisfaction processes, and long-term trusted relationships.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Formula One, motorsport, and sports marketing
  • Ability to apply integrated marketing and partnership strategies across complex client programmes
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams spanning Strategy, Creative, PR & Comms, Digital & Content, and Live Experience & Events
  • Exceptional client relationship skills with confidence to shape strategy and present to senior stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and commercial awareness in sports sponsorship landscape
  • Proficiency in budget planning, resource allocation, and financial reporting for client programmes
  • Proven track record in driving client satisfaction, retention, and growth through feedback processes

Responsibilities

  • Lead a portfolio of global client partnerships, acting as the senior advisor and escalation point while building long-term, trusted client relationships
  • Shape and drive the strategic direction and activation of global partnership programmes, ensuring sponsorship assets are translated into impactful integrated marketing platforms
  • Drive commercial growth across the client portfolio, identifying opportunities to expand partnerships and unlock additional revenue streams
  • Lead, mentor and inspire global client leadership teams, ensuring excellence in delivery across all workstreams
  • Establish and maintain the highest level of client service standards and processes for client leadership teams globally
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of client contracts to enable proactive delivery, renewal and growth opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to pursue strategic growth opportunities, including pitches and new business
  • Champion innovation by challenging and evolving agency-wide activation strategies in sports marketing
