About this role

HLK is looking for Brand Planner interns for the Summer 2025 Launchpad Internship Program. We want talented people who are driven, know that “good enough” is never good enough, and bring solutions. Interns will do real work and gain real experience in the advertising business.

You will work closely with your team on two agency projects, from brief to pitch. This is a challenging 6-week program in a real-life work environment. Trust us, you won't be emptying the dishwasher or grabbing lattes.

Thrive in a fast-paced, innovative and dynamic advertising agency. Work in a collaborative atmosphere with professionals on active clients like Ameren, Bayer, Envu, Marriott and Winchester. Position is in-person in Saint Louis and Chicago locations.

Aspire to get your feet wet in the advertising industry with this opportunity. Interns work Monday through Thursday, 24 hours per week, except holiday weeks. Applications close March 7, 2025; submit resume, cover letter and portfolio.

Requirements

  • Rising Junior, Senior or May 2025 graduate
  • Majoring in marketing, journalism, communications, PR, advertising, design or other related discipline
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and stay busy even during times of ambiguity
  • Social media savvy
  • Confident and assertive, with excitement and passion for the job
  • Self-starter
  • Professional and able to work on a team and in a collaborative atmosphere
  • Make effective decisions under pressure

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with team on two agency projects from brief to pitch
  • Conduct consumer insights research to understand audience behavior
  • Analyze brand positioning and competitive landscapes
  • Develop strategic elements for brand experiences
  • Assist in creating pitch materials for client presentations
  • Gather market trends and social media insights
  • Contribute to changing audience behavior through integrated brand strategies
